The successful applicant will join a team of scientists implementing an ice-sheet model into the next generation km-scale Earth-system model ICON with the aim of better understanding atmosphere-ocean-ice sheet interactions that contribute to present-day sea-level rise and high-latitude climate change. The candidate is supposed to contribute to the development of coupled high-resolution model configurations and their analysis regarding the circulation of the high-latitude oceans.
The research is part of TerraDT, a project within the European Commission’s Horizon Europe research infrastructure programme. TerraDT aims at improving the descriptions of Earth system components in the Destination Earth (DestinE) climate models.
Applications received before April 7, 2025 (23:59 CEST) will receive full consideration.
